At this time of year it seems that just about everybody is running around trying to find that unique gift for that person who has everything.  Shopping around and looking for that type of gift that isn’t real expensive in case the gift-receiver doesn’t use the gift, and a gift that will be different enough for the gift-receiver to actually like it.  But the question is, where is such a gift, and do you really have to get in the car and drive through the snow and traffic clogged streets to get it?

I have the answer to both questions: the answer to the second part is “No” and the answer to the first part of the question is “Right here at Rehabmart”.

The following are just a few interesting and unique gifts for anybody and everybody.  Gifts that are something fun and unusual for the fun and unusual people that you know.

Who doesn’t want a watch that will literally speak out the time, and sing like a cuckoo or crow like a roster? With the Reizen Digital Analog Water Resistant Talking Watch, the wearer can either look at the regular Digital Analog watch with a two-color design to see what time it is, or a pleasant sounding female voice can announce the time with a simple touch of a button.  Want to keep track of the day?  An hourly chime will sound out every hour if the wearer would like to hear it, and along with a sweep second hand, this water-resistant watch can also be set to sound off an alarm with a sound of  three different tunes, a rooster or even a cuckoo.  With this watch, time is relative.

When was the last time you heard a ringing soccer ball?  Now you can, with the Soccer Ball with Bells that allows visually-impaired children or adults to join in kicking the old ball around the yard.  Inside the soccer ball are bells that allow auditory tracking of the ball, allowing it to be “tracked” by visually impaired individuals, while it could also be used for that backyard, night-time soccer game, too.

Talking about sports, how often does it happen that you get some tickets for the football game only to realize that your seats are high-up in the nosebleed section, and the players' size is so small down on the field that it seems like you are watching them on a 13-inch TV from across the room?  Now, with the Grand Optik Sport Spectacles, the smallest running back can look as big as Earl Campbell with these sport spectacles.  These can also be used at theater performances, outdoor concerts or for watching the cheerleaders dance on the sidelines.

During the winter months when ice and snow are everywhere, driving around in a car can be difficult unless the snow tires have studs or snow-chains to help keep the car on the road.  But what about getting to the car down an ice-covered driveway?  How about slipping on a pair of Spike-less Sole Covers onto the bottom of the shoes?  These shoe sole covers feature a spike-less, coiled system that has ten times the gripping points of a spiked sole device.  These shoe sole covers are easy to slip on and off and are made of injection-molded elastomer and abrasion-resistant steel coils that will not rust.

Do you know anybody who loves to cook but is a hazard to themselves when using a cutting board and knife?  With the Cut-Resistant Gloves, blood need no longer be spilled during meal time.  These gloves are woven from stainless steel and wrapped in high-tech polyester and vinyl, making them both highly protective and flexible. Even though they are basically steel gloves, they are also comfortable to wear, and are washable.

During the holidays, many people leave their home unattended when they visit friends and family, and thieves know this, too.  One way to help keep the house a little safer from burglars is the Burglar Deterrent Light.  This is not a simple light that turns on and off with a timer, but is a coffee cup-sized light that mimics the light output of a 27-inch HDTV to help fool possible burglars.  The dancing and flickering light of television shows are reproduced with this light, turning itself on at dusk and shutting itself off after four or seven hours, depending on the setting.

Last, but certainly not least, we have warmth for the winter.  On those cold, windy days when it seems that the cold is gnawing at your bones, and turning up the house thermostat to heat the whole house will just cost too much in the long run, the best thing to do is to hunker down on the sofa with an At-Home Deluxe Heat Therapy Pad.  This three-foot long large heating pad will provide long-lasting relief for the aches and pains brought on by the cold and dampness.  Using Far Infrared Ray technology which requires no hot spots or bulky coils, this hypoallergenic, fleece-lined heating pad can be connected easily to any outlet in the home.  This is a great way to snuggle up during a snowy night while watching another ‘Charlie Brown Christmas Special’ or ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ on TV.

The bells on Santa’s sleigh are getting ever louder, and the Christmas cookies are starting to bake, so it is time to finish off with the Christmas shopping and start to look forward to dancing sugar plums and marching wooden nutcrackers.  The power of Christmas is in the magic of giving, and the joy of this holiday comes from seeing the expressions of happiness of our friends and family opening their presents.

All of us at Rehabmart wish all of you and your families a healthy and happy Merry Christmas and a wonderfully fun New Year.
