Think about your favorite chair at home. It has just the right amount of padding, provides support in all the needed places, and if it's a recliner, it allows you to adjust it to just the right angles for maximum comfort while reading or watching TV. Wouldn't it be great to take it with you to the doctor's or other treatment facilities?

While there's no real substitute for your recliner, Rehabmart offers a couple of alternatives suitable for medical facilities. Procedure Chairs, or treatment recliners, are as comfortable as the furniture in your family room at home, but are designed to facilitate blood draws, some types of dialysis, chemotherapy treatments, and rehab exercises while providing the patient with as much comfort as possible. They include features such as castors to allow for ease of movement, motors for changing the angles of the back and seat, foot rests, and are built low to allow for ease of transfer in and out of wheelchairs.

The Eco Procedure Chair features two hand operated electric motors for positioning the back and seat. Its foot and head rests are manually adjustable to accommodate patients of nearly any height. The arm rests may be positioned to provide easy transfers in and out of the chair, or to allow easy access to the arm for blood draws or insertion of lines for some procedures such as dialysis. Even though it's compact, it can support patients weighing up to 400 pounds. To provide stability, the castors lock in place. The faux leather upholstery comes in a choice of ten colors and is easily cleaned with a spray of a suitable cleaner and a wipe of a cleaning rag.

For facilities where plasmapherisis, oncology procedures including chemotherapy, or blood cell separation are performed as well as dialysis, the Linc Procedure Chair provides maximum comfort for the patient and convenience for the caregiver. While it's compact in size to optimize the use of space in the treatment room, it's strong enough to support patients weighing up to 450 pounds.  The arm rests swing in and out to allow for easy patient transfers and adjust for maximum clinician convenience and patient comfort during procedures.

The Linc's four castors allow easy movement and lock to provide stability after it is relocated. Four electric motors and a hand control position the back, seat, and foot rests at a variety of angles, including the Trendelenburg position. A dry battery provides back up in case of a power failure, and the hand controls can memorize up to three positions. The cushions are made from memory foam covered in antibacterial vinyl, and can be removed for cleaning and disinfection without the need for tools. The vinyl upholstery comes in a choice of ten attractive colors.

While there's no substitute for the comfy chair in the family room, updates in design let your doctor or clinic have a place for patients to sit that run a close second to your favorite and most comfortable chair at home.
