Stay Warm in the Winter

"In the winter, warmth stands for all virtue."
                                        Henry David Thoreau

Winter warmth is most excellent and to help combat against the jangling coldness of the outside world, Rehabmart.com  has a few items to help you stay warm and comfy.

Picture this: It is the middle of winter and you are driving to your aunt's house which is over an hour away for a family gathering. The day is fading, night approaches and you still have about 40 more miles to drive.  Suddenly, you hear an unusual knocking noise from the engine of your car and it starts slowing down.  You press down on the gas pedal but nothing happens. Taking a quick glance in the mirrors you see no cars or houses along the two-lane road.  You pull over to the snow covered side of the road and stop.  Now what?  You check your cell phone but no bars appear, you are out of range.  You are stuck on the side of a less traveled country road and the sun is going down bringing on a fast approaching winter night.  Your phone can still dial 911 and this is what you do, but emergency help is busy and it will be several hours until someone comes to get you. What do you do?  You wait.

Normally this would be a cold and dreadful wait, sitting in the front seat of a stalled car with no heat in the middle of winter.  But wait, you remember the present someone got you from Rehabmart.  A Survival Kit is neatly packed away in the car trunk.  Great!  Now you can rest assured and be warm while you wait for road assistance.  The survival kit come in three different types, the comfort pack, the bedding pack and the bedding pack 2.  For your car you have the comfort pack which consists of a standard 20 inch by 26 inch pillow, a knit hat and gloves, and a fleece blanket.

With the small size of the vacuum packed kits, they are also great to take with you to the airport for those winter flights that are postponed for hours, or even days.  Instead of trying to get comfortable on an airport chair or sleep on a dirty hard floor, you can open up your kit and rest comfortably while waiting for your flight to depart.  It is always good to be prepared for the unfortunate mishaps of life!

Another hot idea is the HeatPax Air Activated Mini Hand Warmers.  Many people have heard the saying, "Cold hands, warm heart", and while this may or may not be true, my question is why have cold hands at all?  With the HeatPax Air Activated Mini Hand Warmers you don't have to have hands that make people jump when you touch them.

The warm packs begin to emit heat when they are removed from their plastic package. They retain heat for about twelve hours and are ideal for localized heat therapy, treating cold intolerance and Raynaud's Phenomenon.

We've talked about staying warm in the car and keeping your hands warm during the cold months.  There is something else that is cold in the mornings and a slight shock to your system when first used. This is something not usually discussed in polite conversation, but everybody knows the discomfort of this particular
morning ordeal.

The cold toilet seat.

But no more!  The Swash 900 Bidet Heated Toilet Seat  can give you a warm, comfortable seat whenever you want it.  No more dreading the cold plastic or the chilled, cracked cushion seats that has been the throne of discomfort for the ages, now you can look forward to the morning rituals without the goosebumps and grousing.

Lastly, sometimes on those cold winter nights, sitting in your chair or on the sofa, either reading a book or watching television, a person just can't get warm.  Wearing sweat pants and sweatshirts while being covered in a blanket still doesn't cut it.  Turning the heat up in the house may work, but the cost of heating up the whole house may give a person second thoughts.  How about using a heating pad?  I am not talking about a small heating pad that you can get at a drug store, I am talking about a big, fourteen inch by twenty-seven inch heavy duty heating pad.

The Thermophore Arthritis Pad is designed to soothe arthritis pain while producing intense moist heat without adding water.  And as an owner of this pad, I can tell you that this is one hot product!  This very large and heavier than expected heating pad heats up very quickly and becomes very, very warm.

This pad is almost too hot to use on bare skin for a prolonged period of time, but put it either on top of a blanket or between a couple of blankets and you will not be cold anymore. This is a simple and safe heating pad to use and is wife-recommended.

Wintertime is a wonderful time and now it can be even more warm-derful for you!  Stay warm, safe and comfortable with these and other products from Rehabmart.  Go outside, fall in the snow and make a snow angel, roll a snowball around for awhile and create a snowman, and have a fun-filled time flinging snowballs at your loved ones.  Winter is fun, so enjoy the season and stay warm and comfortable when you want to.

"A healthy man, indeed, is the complement of the seasons, and in winter, summer is in his heart."
