Heating pads are great, especially during this time of year when the snow is blowing and the chill is quietly seeping in underneath doors and around loose window panes.  Heating pads are also great to use on sore muscles and to assist with circulation.  One of the better ways of loosening up tight back muscles is to place a heating pad on the bed and to lay down on it and relax while the warmth increases the blood circulation, unwinding the tight, blood resisting back muscles.

Even though heating pads do a wonderful job, they can also be a pain in the elbow or knee or hand or foot.  The main problem with most heating pads is not the “heating” aspect but the “pad” part.  If a person injures a knee or elbow, well, getting a heating pad to comfortably wrap around an elbow or knee is difficult, and having it stay in place is next to impossible.  On top of that conundrum, what if a person would like to walk around or work while trying to keep warmth on the elbow or knee?  Forget about it.  And now that I think about it, the “heating” aspect of the heating pad can also become a problem.  I have a real well-made heating pad that is great when I need it for my back or if my wife gets cold while sitting on the sofa watching TV, using it as an extra layer of heat among the blankets.  But if I use that heating pad without a towel or something between it and my skin, well goodnight, Irene, because that sucker gets so hot, it will cause a burn on the skin.  So, what do we do when we want an all-encompassing heat around an elbow or knee or wrists or feet that won’t turn the skin lobster red?  Try Thermotex Infrared heating pads specifically made for different body parts.

Infrared heating is able to provide a more deep and penetrating warmth for temporary relief of either chronic or acute pain.  Although a Thermotex infrared heating pad will not get as hot as a conventional heating pad, the infrared thermal energy does penetrate deeper beneath the skin.  The Thermotex infrared heating pads operate on a lower setting of temperatures of around 44 Celsius (111.2 degree Fahrenheit) while conventional heating pads often go to 55 Celsius (131 degree Fahrenheit) or higher.  At the higher heat of a conventional heating pad, a person’s skin can receive a burn or become dehydrated while only penetrating the skin to about 2 to 3 millimeters (about 2/3 inch).  The infrared heating pad will radiate at lower temperatures yet penetrate the skin up to 6 centimeters (about 2.36 inches).

Infrared heating is all fine and good but what if someone needs some therapeutic heating on his or her wrist?  Good luck keeping a heating pad securely and completely wrapped snugly 360 degrees around the wrist.  Well, now luck is not needed anymore because the Thermotex Infrared Wrist Heat Pad is made specifically for the wrist and is recommended for decreasing the pain of repetitive strain injuries of the wrist and forearm.   This heating wrap/pad is ideal for treating conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, and it can conveniently be used at home, in the office, or can run on the power inverter and be plugged into a car’s cigarette lighter and be utilized while driving.

My wife is like many people who have cold feet.  Putting the feet on top of a heating pad doesn’t really help and trying to keep balancing a conventional type of heating pad around her feet doesn’t work too well, either.  The Thermotex Infrared Foot Heating Pad is to be used for heat therapy or for temporary pain relief, or just to warm up cold feet on a winter’s eve.  Both feet fit into a removable and washable cloth that is placed inside the heating pad which can be used at home, in the office or as a passenger in a car with the use of the separately sold power inverter.  Enjoy the feeling of happy and warm feet this winter with this ingenious and all-encompassing heating pad device for the feet.

Trying to keep a heating pad fully wrapped around a knee is like trying to swat flies with chop sticks: it can be done, but it is hard as heck to do it.  It always seems that the heating pad isn’t fully surrounding the knee, and with any movement the pad seems to unravel and slip down the leg.  With the Thermotex Infrared Knee Heating Pad, alleviating chronic or acute knee, thigh or calf injuries is a much easier task.  The two-pad design allows this heating pad to fit more snugly and easily around the knee, and it can be used at home or the office and even while driving a car.  Knees seem to be the body parts that most like to stay warm during the cold winter months, especially with older folks, or with active people who use their legs often in sports or during their job.

Someone with tennis elbow or other elbow injuries will have a heck of a time trying to keep a heating pad on that particular body part, and once on, it seems that any movement will make the heating pad spiral off the elbow.  The Thermotex infrared Elbow Heating Pad can put a stop to the frustration of elbow heat maintenance.  This elbow heating pad consists of two small heating pads joined together to provide flexibility and to comfortably and snugly fit around the arm without slippage and deep sighs of frustration.  Use the elbow heating pad to help relieve pain in the elbow and arm area without the fuss and mess of larger heating pads.

While heating pads make good Christmas and birthday presents, Thermotex infrared body-fitting heating pads make fantastic Christmas and birthday presents.  They are generally safer and penetrate more effectively than conventional heating pads while also offering an all-encompassing, snug fit to the specific parts of the body that need healing or just want to be warm and toasty during the snowy and rainy days of the year.
