For children and young adults living with conditions that compromise core strength, maintaining proper positioning while sitting poses a challenge while traveling, on the school bus, or at home eating or watching TV. At one time, positioning may have required a different chair in each location, but now thanks to the Tumble Forms II Carrie Seating System, one seat does it all.

Its four-point tethering system allows the Carrie Seat to provide a safe, secure place for the user to sit at home on a regular chair or on the sofa, and when the footrest is removed, the child can sit on the floor to watch TV or join in games or conversations with friends and siblings. It meets FMVSS--213 standards for crash testing in cars and buses as well as complying with other federal safety standards, allowing it to be used for transportation in the family car with standard seatbelts, on the school bus with standard wheelchair tie-downs, or for travel on trains and airplanes.  The optional stroller seat adds to its versatility, allowing it to be used on nature trails, in museums, and to navigate other venues of interest such as shopping malls. The Carrie Seat is lightweight and can be carried easily from kitchen to living room to car or school bus, and anywhere in between.

Unlike upholstered seats, the Carrie Seat’s contoured and shock-absorbing foam padding and anti-thrust shape help the user maintain good positioning with squared hips, neutral spine, and neck alignment without frequent adjustments or the need to augment with pillows or pads. Its seamless covering featuring antimicrobial protection is impervious to liquids and requires a quick wipe with a lint-free cloth and spray cleaner to keep it tidy. It comes in medium blue to compliment a wide range of decor.

The Carrie Seat comes in four sizes to accommodate users from pre-school to small adult or up to 130 pounds. Optional foot rests and trays are available and additional accessories include an activity base; a collar made of the same antimicrobial material as the covering on the seat; a stroller base; and a Cozee Cover to provide even more comfort.

One customer, a mom who is also a physical therapist, gave the seat a positive review, mentioning that the Carrie Seat allowed her son to join the family at the kitchen table for meals, as well as doubling as a car seat that allowed him to go on a 15-hour trip with no more discomfort than his siblings had. She was impressed by its ease of use and simple maintenance.

The Carrie Seat is suitable for children and small adults living with issues that compromise balance and core stability such as cerebral palsy, MS, developmental delays, or neurological and musculoskeletal conditions such as muscular dystrophy. It enables users to participate in the small activities that weave the fabric of everyday life such as family meals and vacations, enhancing the fullness of their lives.
