No matter how well thought out and executed in their designs, private homes and residential care facilities frequently have bathrooms that can be tough for anyone to negotiate whether or not they rely on mobility devices. The Stand Tall comes in three models: one that can be adjusted for height manually; one that uses gas-assisted technology to raise a user to a standing position with the touch of a button; and for users requiring extra support such as those recovering from strokes or surgery, a powered model that comes with a remote hand control and a rechargeable battery. For extra stability, the powered model features locking casters to ensure smooth and easy transfers. All three models are made with sturdy tubular metal construction.

   

It may have a small footprint, but the Kashe Tilt in Space Shower Commode Chair is strong and wide enough to support users up to 330 pounds. Thanks to its two gas struts, it can be tilted backwards with a minimum of effort while staying securely in place due to its locking casters.   The seat is designed to either be placed over a toilet or to accommodate the included commode bucket for users who have issues with incontinence. For those times when a solid seat is needed, an insert is included. Its swing-away armrests and folding footrests make it adaptable for almost any user and almost any bathroom. Users who need neck support will benefit from the included adjustable head rest.  While a good choice for almost anyone, the backwards tilting action makes it an especially good choice for users who have involuntary forward movements.  The frame is made of powder-coated metal, and the entire chair can be easily cleaned with a soft cloth and appropriate cleaner. 

Both the Stand Tall and the Kashe chair are engineered for tough durability, and are appropriate for home use as well as in settings such as rehab centers and nursing homes. They are ideal for use for people with long-term neurological issues, musculoskeletal conditions, or who are recovering from trauma or surgery.
