Physical therapy tables provide the PT and his or her client with a stable surface to perform therapeutic manipulations, treatments, or exercises as part of the rehabilitation process. They may be as simple as a steady flat surface, or may involve therapeutic tools as components.  Here are a few great examples that Rehabmart offers.

To help the therapist and the patient in rehabilitating the hands after an injury, surgery, or due to neurological issues such as a stroke, there's the Hand Therapy Table with Knob Adjustment. Designed by a group of hand therapists to maximize therapist/patient interaction and to optimize the session's outcome, the table is constructed with a high density vinyl-edged polyethylene top for durability and easy cleaning. The base is made of powder-coated steel in either almond or graphite silver and can be adjusted to provide a stable work surface. The top comes in a variety of colors to compliment any decor. Optional locking casters to facilitate movement are also available.  Two oversized knobs quickly move the table up to ten inches in height, enabling clients in wheelchairs to easily maneuver into place for sessions, in compliance with ADA regulations.

Providing a full range of muscle and joint training for the hands, wrists, and forearms is the Circumductor Table. Its graded resistance is designed to develop strength and range-of-motion in the metacarpophalangeal joints, wrist circumduction, and pronation and supination of the arms. Six pulleys hung from a bracket above the table and six weights below allow the client to perform exercises to develop finger abduction, adduction, and flexion. The table is covered in a natural finish wood grain laminate that's scratch-resistant, and it comes with six two and a half pound weights. Graduated weights are additionally available as an option.

For settings where a therapist may be working with more than one client at a time, there's the Hough Hand Table. Two therapists can work with up to six clients at once on the Standard table, and one therapist can work with up to three clients at once at the Junior table. Each table has stations with a reversible board; mobile, cam, and thumb-resistance posts; and two or four reversible pegboards depending on the table model. Both models come with extension flaps. They are made from solid plywood and have a durable high-pressure laminate finish for easy cleaning. Both tables feature a shelf beneath the work surface to allow for storage of therapy items between uses.

No matter the size of the clinic or the number of clients, physical therapy tables come in a wide variety of styles and sizes, ensuring that there's one that's just right for every body.
