The Domino Pro Personal Listening System, one of a number of personal listening devices distributed by Harris Communications, a vendor who built a strong relationship with Rehabmart in helping to bring customers the best products within the hearing loss industry, can help people experiencing problem hearing to be able to hear a person talk within a noisy environment or from the front of a classroom or church.

A personal listening device or system is great at assisting people to hear in situations such as in noisy restaurants, at home watching the TV without blasting the sound, a teacher in front of the classroom or a pastor in church up to a distance of 80 feet.  A personal listening device can also be used in smaller, more intimate settings where people are talking in a low tone or whispering.  Designed to help people with both mild and severe hearing loss or those with difficulty in listening in places such as at home, meetings, school, work, or in the car, the Domino Pro can also be used as a "remote and amplified microphone" for people with a hearing aid and/or cochlear implant users with the built-in telecoil or "T" position.  The amplified sound in the Domino Pro is discreetly transferred by the Bellman Audio Neckloop to the individual's hearing instrument, or hearing aid.

The Domino Pro system consists of a transmitter and receiver that use digital state-of-the-art sound processing and wireless wideband technology which will pick up sounds and convert them into digital data, allowing the user to hear crystal-clear stereo sound that is free from annoying background noise and feedback.  The transmitter uses a wireless, secure encryption link for listening with headphones, ear buds, or the neckloop/hearing instrument with t-coil.  The encryption technology will secure an interference-free speech that makes it impossible to eavesdrop.  The transmitter also uses a stereo input for streaming high quality audio for an MP3 player, TV, or stereo system.

The Domino uses the 2.4GHz global frequency standard which means the Domino Pro System can be used worldwide.  The amplification, when used with stereo earphones, can be achieved up to 49dB in a high definition audio sound.  Both the transmitter and receiver are equipped with an omni-directional microphone and a directional microphone which can be 'zoomed' to hear a particular sound or discussion.  The system also comes with a cable kit that has an adapter from a 3.5mm jack to RCA connectors for stereos, TVs and MP3 players, and a USB-powered global charger kit and rechargeable batteries.

The Domino Pro can pinpoint and focus on a person's voice in difficult hearing situations or assist in other areas of hearing difficulty simply with a single push of a button, eliminating complicated and confusing menus.  Many of us have difficulty hearing certain sounds or voices in different situations, and to be able to hear a conversation while seated in a restaurant, or clearly hearing the conversation between actors in a movie or television program which has loud background music or noise can be a relief to both the user and the surrounding family and friends.

Some other Harris Communication products to learn more about are the Mino Digital Personal Listening System, a small, sleek, personal listening device that is perfect for one-on-one conversational listening no matter what the surrounding situation is, or the Maxi Digital Personal Amplifier Listening System  which is primarily a more basic and little larger version of the Domino Pro, but was specifically developed for people who prefer an easy-to-use device with larger tactile controls and clear indications.
