Learning is Fun for Pre-Schoolers!

Whether your child has special needs or not, every child can benefit from being better prepared for school and Rehabmart has some wonderful learning tools to encourage your child to learn some basics before she ever steps into a real classroom.

Kids learn colors and how to recognize shapes, while also being instructed on how to hold the crayon correctly.  This book also uses a developmental sequence for learning pre-strokes, letters and numbers.  The large and bold illustrations are easy and fun to color and greatly appeal to very young children, which encourages questions and discussion.

Another really fun product from this same company is the Get Set for School Sing Along CD; Handwriting Without Tears with Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer.  This CD is full of delightful songs that children will adore because they learn specific movements and finger-plays to go along with the tunes.  
   

Learning the alphabet is so much fun when a dog sings along!  Numbers are easy to learn when your child sings along about counting legs of different creatures!  This CD promotes development of body awareness, motor skills, language and counting skills as your child moves and sings along with these memorable tunes they'll want to hear over and over.

Rehabmart also offers some fun and helpful tools for your hearing-impaired pre-schooler as well.  Help teach your children American Sign Language (ASL) with the Welcome to School, Singing Time! DVD.
