Rehabmart had a good solid year in 2014, serving thousands of satisfied customers and welcoming in a number of new medical supply vendors, offering yet more tools for the job of living a better quality lifestyle for all of our customers. Each year, Rehabmart becomes more of a major contributor in the durable medical supply field all due to good company leadership, hard work by the employees, great customer service, and from the people who are most important, our customers.

We have several new products that are both interesting and unique for our customers in 2015. The first is a scooter but not just any typical 4 mph scooter, the Afiscooter Breeze SE Scooter looks like a hybrid of a scooter and a motorcycle. Reaching a top speed of 10 mph and being able to offer a stable ride on just about any terrain and in most any environment, this mobility scooter will be the envy of scooter riders everywhere.

Made with a strong steel chassis and a rear power unit, the combination of these two strengths offer security and high performance driving over unpaved roads and rough terrain, allowing the rider to go off-roading, being able to drive over 4 inch-high obstacles. Combine the off-road ride with a comfortable swivel orthopedic seat, a headlight, turn signals, a speed switch to change the speed from a fast walking pace of 5 mph to a racing 10 mph, a 500 pound weight capacity and a 30 mile driving range on one battery charge and the Afiscooter Breeze SE Scooter can give its user independence to travel around the neighborhood, through parks, around the town, chasing the kids across the yard or just about any place else a person may want to travel on a sunny day outside.

Another unique product offered by Rehabmart is the Clearlight Curve Infrared Pad Sauna Dome.  Do you like going to a spa to have an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a ‘dry sauna’, but don’t like the idea of traveling through all types of weather to get to the spa, changing clothes in front of strangers, sitting in a crowded sauna with other sweaty people, and then showering with more strangers? Then this state-of-the-art portable home spa is what you need.

Unlike most spas where a person sits and drips, the Clearlight Curve Infrared Pad Sauna Dome offers a 360 degree area surrounding of front and rear infrared heat to both sides of the body while the user is lying down on a Memory Foam pad. Comprised of two lightweight domes constructed of solid wood and green organic hemp cloth, the dome can easily be picked up and moved, allowing it to be used in the home, a medical facility, a day spa or for those living in apartments. Highlighting easily adjusted heat levels, the True Wave II FIR heaters combine carbon and ceramic far infrared heaters to produce long wave far infrared heat that penetrates deep into the user’s body for a therapeutic benefit, while the patent-pending low EMF technology cancels out the majority of the potentially harmful EMF, making it a safer and effective sauna dome.

Another new medical device offered by Rehabmart is a patient lift. What makes this patient lift different than most others is the mobility and easy patient and caregiver use of it. The Brewer LiftMate Low High Mobile Patient Lift assists patients to be able to safely get up onto or down from exam tables, hospital beds, or any other type of procedural surface, all without using the usual belts, straps and medical professionals for assistance. This highly maneuverable and versatile lift can easily roll through doorways and medical facilities’ hallways with just one medical caregiver doing the pushing.

Instead of requiring several medical professionals lifting a 400 pound patient onto an exam table and risking the patient’s and caregivers’ safety and health, the LiftMate lift can be wheeled directly up to the exam table. The patient steps onto the lift, grabs the hand-rails and is gently lifted to a safe and correct height for the patient to simply just sit down on the table. More economical than more expensive power lift tables and more easily maneuverable than the more typical patient lifts with belts and straps, this highly efficient and safe patient lift can save on equipment cost and help diminish the likelihood of workers compensation claims while all the time ensuring the patient’s safety and avoiding the embarrassment of trying to crawl up onto an exam table.
