Rehabmart continues to assist customers in finding and learning about the many different medical products offered by Rehabmart. Many of us at Rehabmart are diligently working on creating informative product category descriptions to assist consumers to find out at a glance or with a quick read on what that particular category has to offer and how the products work, and for whom the products are best suited for. Soon all of the product categories will be full of information to be viewed by busy consumers who can appreciate the time saving descriptions and quickly find the information they need to make more informed decisions. A few examples of the new category descriptions are TheraTogs and ADA Shower Benches.

Rehabmart is also proud to offer a couple of new products from its established line of vendors.

The JX2 Jay Cushion by Jay Cushions is a wheelchair cushion with a slight profile, but includes plenty of maximized comfort. With a notched rear coccyx section that reduces the pressure of the tailbone, this cushion also comes with a lightweight foam base, removable one-inch tall lateral thigh supports, and the famous Jay Flow™ fluid insert that helps to protect against skin breakdown. The dual-cover system will help the cushion stay dry and clean by reducing surface tension and completely protecting the foam base from any fluids. The Jay Flow™ fluid insert conforms to the user’s boney prominences, helping to eliminate skin breakdown, and when combined with the support of the lightweight foam, this wheelchair cushion will offer the active user the perfect cushion to sit on for hours at a time.

Another exciting new product is from our old friend, Experia USA. The Lumiglo Sensory Panels are designed for everyone to use but are especially helpful for therapy with people who are visually impaired, and can also be used to demonstrate spatial awareness. After darkening the room, users place a hand on the panel, shine a flashlight on it and then watch in wonder as the shape of their hand first appears on the panel, and then slowly fades away. But don’t stop there! Individuals can play Tic-Tac-Toe, draw pictures, and write a name…anything will show up once the lights go out! The sensory panels will encourage calm, social interaction with others and can assist with various forms of interactive therapy.

With products from new vendors and new products from our established vendors, March is coming in like a lion and going out as a healthier lion that doesn’t need to use a keyboard, will be able to breathe better, is more comfortable sitting and can have a fun time learning about spatial awareness.
