October means a lot of things. School is in full swing, costumes are being made or bought for Halloween, Breast Cancer survivors are featured, the days are shorter and chillier, baseball playoffs start as well as college football and hockey, and also, the Great Pumpkin will rise out of the pumpkin patch to bring toys to…well, anyway, October has a lot going for it.
For Rehabmart clients, customers and fans, October means looking at some exciting new products we are now offering through our website.
Breathing in the cool autumn air along with the smell of fresh cooked donuts and the tangy-sweet smell of apple cider is a time-honored tradition, yet a tradition that not everyone can easily enjoy. Many people have trouble taking deep breaths for a variety of reasons, and to help those with breathing problems, Rehabmart proffers a line of new Bipap/Cpaps or ventilators by ResMed.
With over 25 years of pioneering innovative and cutting edge devices and treatments for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sleep-disordered breathing, and other chronic diseases, ResMed has improved the quality of life for millions of patients throughout the world. One interesting example is the VPAP COPD device that is the first home noninvasive ventilation BIPAP/CPAP with therapy settings that are optimized to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The VPAP COPD helps to improve patient synchrony and to minimize air trappings for the patient’s comfort. It provides an integrated oxygen entrainment solution that administers warmed humidified air and oxygen in one convenient tube.
Rehabmart also offers ResMed’s AirSense 10 Elite Co-Pack, which is an advanced single pressure machine providing the added comfort of an integrated Humidair Humidifier to help relieve the dry side effects that cause swelling and congestion. This device also offers the ability to detect Cheyne-Stokes respiration, and central sleep apnea.
Another helpful new product offered by Rehabmart is the Spand-Ice™ therapy garment, which is comfortable active-wear that incorporates both cold and hot therapy. With their stated mission to develop a wearable ice and heat solution, Spand-Ice™ combines the best elements of hot and cold therapy into a flexible, versatile and mobile garment. The Spand-Ice™ Revive tank-top shirts are designed to incorporate dual therapy pockets with long-lasting reusable thermal packs which are comfortably worn with an adjustable compression strap.
Now when you’re recuperating from a hard exercise routine workout, or finding a way to relieve muscular pain from an accident or injury, you are not confined to sitting around with unsightly and bothersome ice and heat packs strapped to your torso by some constriction belt keeping them in place. To more easily and effectively relieve inflammation and muscle pain, the Spand-Ice™ therapy garment can be worn while you remain active and mobile.
The discreet and comfortable therapy garment can hold specialized therapy packs securely in place for effective heating and icing of the low and mid back while maintaining mobility for the wearer. The Spand-Ice™ Revive therapy garment can be worn as a tank-top, or be used as an ‘undershirt’ underneath clothing. Easy to put on and take off, this made in the USA therapeutic active-wear can offer both therapy and mobility at the same time.
While on the subject of heat therapy, Rehabmart is also proud to offer the Health Mate’s Elevated Health Sauna. This home sauna is a bi-level, spacious infrared cedar sauna with two rolls of bench seating. It can accommodate two reclining individuals, and is also roomy enough for a small family to use at once. The elevated health sauna provides nine infrared-based Tecoloy M heaters, a CD/AM/FM audio system, and overhead LED lights that offer a range of mood enhancing colors to suit the inclination of the user.
The nine patented Tecoloy M heaters emit a consistent infrared wavelength that is immediately absorbed two to three inches into the body’s tissues, warming the body from within. The body absorbs the beneficial and natural heat that infrared generates, unlike the convection and conduction heating methods of a conventional sauna which simply heat the air and surfaces of the sauna.
Each month, Rehabmart employees search out and find the best medical devices and products that help people in their recovery, and for their continued health. To find out more about the other new “Tools For The Job of Living” offered by Rehabmart, go and shop around in the ‘newest products’ section of our site.
So breathe and relax this October with the help of Rehabmart and its vendors.
Since Halloween is quickly approaching, Rehabmart would like to see photos of people wearing costumes pertaining to ‘medical devices’. If interested, post a photo of yourself as a hyperbaric chamber or some other medical product to Rehabmart’s Facebook page to show off your costume.
