OxyHealth Solace 210 Hyperbaric Chamber
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a medical treatment administered by delivering 100 percent oxygen at pressures greater than atmospheric, or sea level pressure, to a patient in an enclosed chamber. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been used clinically since the mid 1800's, and was tested and developed by the United States Military after World War I and has been safely used since the 1930's to help treat deep sea divers with decompression sickness. In the 1950's, clinical trials uncovered a number of beneficial procedures from exposure to a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. These experiments were the forerunners of contemporary applications of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in clinical settings.
The following is a partial list of conditions that have been determined to be acceptable indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy by Medicare, the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), and the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine (ACHM). The following list does not include all conditions assisted by hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
For acute or emergent conditions: cyanide or carbon monoxide poisoning, cerebral arterial gas embolism, decompression sickness, exceptional blood loss anemia, necrotizing soft tissue infections, gas gangrene, crush injury, reattachment and suturing of limbs, thermal burns, and brown recluse spider bites.
Chronic conditions: actinomycosis, enhancement of healing in selected problem wounds, compromised skin graft flaps, radiation necrosis, refractory poliomyelitis and refractory mycology.
Research purposes: closed head injury, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy or stroke, near drowning, heart attacks, and chronic fatigue in HIV.
When most people think of a Hyperbaric Chamber they may think of a hard-cased heavy metal tube located in the bowels of a hospital or located on a Navy base, and, for the most part, they would be correct. But now, Rehabmart can offer you the lightweight, portable OxyHealth Solace 210 Hyperbaric Chamber. This is the most popular model in the OxyHealth Mild Hyperbaric Chamber line. Weighing less then 100 pounds, this portable, durable, double-sided 44 ounce urethane coated polyester weave material hyperbaric chamber folds for transport in its own carry bag. But don't let the portability and non-steel construction fool you. With newly refined valve ports that raise the caliber of durability and safety, the upgraded sleek style of the Solace 210 combines function and elegance. The Solace 210 hyperbaric chamber comes with an inflation/deflation valve which allows both occupant and treatment administrator to control pressure. The tamper-proof dual air-exchange/regulator valves provide redundant pressure control and is designed for improved airflow through the chamber, while the patented 2-zipper seal facilitates self treatments. It also comes with extra large patient viewing windows and a larger external pass-through port, dual air compressor double head, oil-less, dual intake filter and a high efficiency in-line filtration system which filters to 0.01 microns. When inflated, the length of the Solace 210 hyperbaric chamber is 93 inches, the diameter is 22 inches and the circumference is 71 inches.
Whenever it's used in a doctor's office, nursing home facility or a private residence, the OxyHealth Solace 210 Hyperbaric Chamber is practical and designed to last while responding to the fundamental goal of 'Making Hyperbarics Come To You.'
